Dr. Sam-Owner
Dr. Sam graduated from Texas A & M in 2004 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, and has been operating Dr. Sam’s Veterinary House Calls since 2010. She places great importance on the emotional well being of her patients. Dr. Sam practices low stress handling techniques in order to create a pleasant experience for your dogs and cats. She fills her time with her two dogs, three cats and horse. When she is away from the office, Dr. Sam enjoys traveling, crafts, cooking, and hiking with her dogs.
Laura-Business Manager
Laura has played an integral part of Dr. Sam’s Veterinary House Calls for many years. Laura has helped in every aspect of the practice from being a veterinary nurse to practice manager. She currently though has taken a smaller business position at Dr. Sam’s to focus on her growing family. Laura still helps Dr. Sam’s to run smoothly but spends most of her time caring for her family and her dog LJ.
Keechi-Clinic Director
In addition to directing the day to day duties of the clinic, Keechi competes in the field of agility and scent work. Keechi’s duities at the clinic include, but not limited to, being the unofficial doorbell, helping her coworkers know when someone is at the door. She also helps to keep everyone on their toes and provides some comic relief throughout the day.
Her hobbies include chasing balls/sticks and swimming. She is also a master at eating large amounts of food in a very short amount of time.
Keilae-Office Manager
Keilae joined our team 2021 as a veterinary technician and since has taken on the roll as our Office Manager. She has been in the veterinary field for over 12 years. Although her title has changed, Keilae still provides hands on and compassionate veterinary care to our patients when needed. In her free time, she enjoys camping, crafting, and spending time with her daughter, husband and 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a flock of ducks.
Katie
Katie joined our team in 2022 and brings with her 6 years of experience in the veterinary field. Katie keeps busy with her son, dog and 2 cats at home. She spends her free time going to her son’s sporting events with her dog.
Bernie-Technician
Bernie and Dr. Sam have been friends for well over a decade. She was an integral part in helping Dr. Sam when she first started her house call practice. Bernie has veterinary medicine in her blood, she grew up on a dairy farm and has multiple brothers, nephews and nieces that are veterinarians. She has worked in the field as a veterinary technician for over 30 years. She retired from her full time veterinary technician position in October 2020 and joined Dr. Sam’s team part time for her “retirement” adventure.
Tracy-CSR
Tracy started with Dr. Sam’s in 2019, she brings many years of veterinary service experience with her to the team. She enjoys knowing that she is helping our clients navigate through their questions, concerns and difficult moments when they call our office.
Joan-Technician/Nursing Supervisor
Joan joined our team in 2021 as a veterinary technician and has since taken on the roll as Nursing Supervisor at our clinic. She attended Vet Tech school and was working with a local rescue before joining our team. Although rescuing is her passion, Joan loves being able to spend her days bringing comfort to all of our patients with compassion and kindness. Joan and her husband keep busy with their son in college, their daughter starting med school, 1 stray cat and 2 rabbits.
