Dr. Sam-Owner

Dr. Sam graduated from Texas A & M in 2004 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, and has been operating Dr. Sam’s Veterinary House Calls since 2010. She places great importance on the emotional well being of her patients. Dr. Sam practices low stress handling techniques in order to create a pleasant experience for your dogs and cats. She fills her time with her two dogs, three cats and horse. When she is away from the office, Dr. Sam enjoys traveling, crafts, cooking, and hiking with her dogs.

Laura-Business Manager

Laura has played an integral part of Dr. Sam’s Veterinary House Calls for many years. Laura has helped in every aspect of the practice from being a veterinary nurse to practice manager. She currently though has taken a smaller business position at Dr. Sam’s to focus on her growing family. Laura still helps Dr. Sam’s to run smoothly but spends most of her time caring for her family and her dog LJ.

Keechi-Clinic Director

In addition to directing the day to day duties of the clinic, Keechi competes in the field of agility and scent work. Keechi’s duities at the clinic include, but not limited to, being the unofficial doorbell, helping her coworkers know when someone is at the door. She also helps to keep everyone on their toes and provides some comic relief throughout the day.
Her hobbies include chasing balls/sticks and swimming. She is also a master at eating large amounts of food in a very short amount of time.

Tracy-Client Care Specialist

Tracy started with Dr. Sam’s in 2019, she brings many, many years of veterinary service experience with her to the team. She enjoys knowing that she is helping our clients navigate through their questions, concerns and difficult moments when they call our office.

Joan-Technician/Nursing Supervisor

Joan joined our team in 2021 as a veterinary technician and has since taken on the roll as Nursing Supervisor at our clinic. She attended Vet Tech school and was working with a local rescue before joining our team. Although rescuing is her passion, Joan loves being able to spend her days bringing comfort to all of our patients with compassion and kindness. Joan and her husband keep busy with their son in college, their daughter starting med school, 1 stray cat and 2 rabbits.

Dr. Tara Zentner

Dr. Tara Zentner is a graduate from Mississippi State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 2020. In 2016, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, from Delaware Valley University. Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley. After veterinary school, she returned home and has been practicing locally as a mixed animal veterinarian for 6 years. She began working at Dr. Sam’s in February 2026. Dr. Zentner’s special interests are building relationships with clients, mentoring students, pain management, ultrasound, surgery, and she loves chocolate labs. Outside of work she enjoys camping and hiking with her husband Matthew and their two dogs, Faith May and Emmy Lou, riding motorcycle with her husband and family. Aside of two dogs, Dr. Tara and her husband also have cats, chickens and ponies. She also finds joy spending time with her church family and gathering for weekly bible studies.

Fun Fact: Dr. Zentner has a big heart for veterinary mission work. Since her first mission trip with Christian Veterinary Mission in 2017, she has had the opportunity to serve both people and their animals locally and internationally. She has gone several times to Navajo Nation, Arizona and is the trip leader to St. Croix, U.S.V.I doing equine work. She has also served in Nicaragua, Alaska, St. Thomas, St. John, India, Cherokee in North Carolina.
